"Xmas Vindaloo" focuses on Christmas time in Goa, a little christian enclave in India, with a sulphurous reputation.
A former portuguese counter, Goa gained fame in the Western world for hosting hippie communities in the 60s. This christian region of India, later turned into the trance music capital of the world and is a fancied spot for both indian people and international tourists.
Goa offers an unlikely gathering of retired hippies, trance music lovers, indian tourists, baba cools, stray dogs, and undomesticated cows, mixed with a hint of the local spice.
During his stay in this seaside resort like no other, the author came across Jesus, more than once, Santa Claus, chilling sacred cows, crazy looking dogs, tattooed ravers, moustache wearing dreamers, swirling stoners, colourful jugglers, yoga masters, levitating mystics, selfie bombers, many acclaimed sunsets and a uncanny Hercules.
