« Selfie Porn » is a fun story about our craze for social medias and the new form of tourism it has created.
The series is focusing on a fountain in Singapore that has turned into a massive selfie spot.
There, by shifting perspective, I played with the sexual overtone that these pictures unintentionally give. Then I added recurrent elements and especially the many T-shirt with motivational motos worn by many people.
These emphatic sentences are also a big part of Instagram, « influencers » use them to tell you how to live your best life and it is funny to see these grand motos confronted to a trivial moment.
Everyday, tens of buses bring hords of tourists to this landmark of Singapore in the sole purpose of taking a fun picture, to my surprise, a few of them even stayed several hours to perfect this simple shot.
